Welcome to Beech Hotel

The Beech Hotel in Burton-on-Trent stands as a beacon of warmth and hospitality, particularly for football fans and casual visitors alike. With an impressive rating of 4.2, this pub is more than just a place to grab a drink; it’s a hub of community spirit and camaraderie, especially during match days.

Located at Derby Rd, Burton-on-Trent DE13 0DL, United Kingdom, the Beech Hotel offers free parking for just £5, making it an accessible pre-match meeting point. Reviewers consistently highlight the accommodating nature of the staff and the lively atmosphere that envelops the venue. As one satisfied patron, Nick McWright, points out, “Nice pub and good bar service,” which speaks to the dedication of the bar team in providing a welcoming experience.

This establishment thrives on its reputation as a friendly retreat for away fans. Steve Harris, who visited during an Oxford United match, couldn't have been happier with the hospitality. “The place couldn't have been more welcoming,” he noted, emphasizing both the excellent service and the quality of the pints served. The Beech is undoubtedly a place where camaraderie flourishes over shared passions and pint glasses.

With a cozy interior and a spacious outdoor area, the Beech Hotel caters to both lively gatherings and quieter, reflective evenings. Visitors can enjoy live entertainment, adding to the vibrant atmosphere. Petsotics Uk aptly describes the venue as “cosy” with a friendly staff, ensuring patrons feel at home regardless of how busy the pub gets on football nights.

While the Beech Hotel doesn’t boast a full dining service, offering mainly sandwiches and pub snacks, it more than compensates with its character and charm. Guests looking for a quick bite can still find satisfaction in the affordable “cobs” for just £2. For those seeking a comprehensive dining experience, local attractions like the National Trust - Calke Abbey, the National Forest Adventure Farm, and the poignant National Memorial Arboretum provide ample options for a delightful day out.

However, as noted by Sandy Lewis, it's advisable for non-drinkers to check the beverage menu in advance, as options like Guinness zero are not available. Nonetheless, the Beech Hotel’s conducive atmosphere for guests makes it a must-visit spot in Burton-on-Trent, whether for sports or just a friendly gathering over drinks.

In conclusion, the Beech Hotel is not merely a pub; it’s a community gathering spot where laughter and stories blend seamlessly with the clinking of glasses. Its strategic location, friendly staff, and vibrant ambiance make it an integral part of the local experience for football fans and visitors alike, establishing it as a cherished cornerstone of Burton-on-Trent’s social scene.

We were there on Saturday for the Oxford United match and the place couldn't have been more welcoming. The girls behind the bar were amazing!! The pints I had were good as well. Definitely hope we can come back here next season.

Cosy decent size pub with freindly staff. Can get busy on football night as its the away team pub for town games but always a good atmosphere and never seen any trouble in 10+ years Some really decent live entertainment and big outdoor area for summer (and outdoor stage) It's not really an eating out place, they do sell sandwiches, cobs and basic pub snacks but no hot food, apart from the food van in the carpark, which is more a morning brekky van unless its a match day ( shame as its a great food van ) however many of the usual fast foods are on the same road

Good pub for an away game pre match. Was driving so asked for a Guinness zero but was told they don't sell it which surprised me as most pubs do these days. They only had Becks Blue which I don't like. Otherwise a decent place.

Great pub. Very warm welcome extended to us away fans from Cheltenham. Good beers on the pumps and the friendly staff were excellent. Really appreciated on a cold night. Highly recommend
